The Challenge

An upscale med spa in the Galleria area had beautiful facilities but empty appointment slots. They were at 60% capacity with most clients coming from Groupon deals (low-margin, one-time visits). They needed to attract premium clients willing to pay full price for Botox, fillers, and body contouring.

Strategy 1: Instagram transformation โ€” shifted from stock photos to authentic before/after content (with patient consent), behind-the-scenes treatment videos, provider introduction reels, and educational carousels about each treatment.

Strategy 2: Content pillars: 4 rotating themes โ€” Before/Afters (Monday), Treatment Education (Wednesday), Provider Spotlight (Friday), Client Testimonial (Sunday). Posted daily with 3-4 story updates.

Strategy 3: Email automation โ€” built a 7-email welcome sequence for new subscribers: intro โ†’ popular treatments โ†’ before/afters โ†’ pricing transparency โ†’ first-visit offer โ†’ urgency reminder โ†’ last chance. Added a monthly newsletter with seasonal promotions.

Strategy 4: Ditched Groupon entirely โ€” replaced discount-driven marketing with value-driven content that attracted clients who valued expertise over price. Average transaction value increased from $180 to $420.

Strategy 5: Review and referral program โ€” offered $50 credit for Google reviews and $100 credit for referrals that booked.
